This site is an archive of the existing and ruined Armenian historical monuments on the territory of the Republic of Armenia as well as Historical Armenia and the Diaspora.
The site has been developed by the Research on Armenian Architecture (RAA), and NGO Organization, through an initial grant received from the Open Society Institute, and is based on multilateral research materials gathered by the RAA throughout more than three decades.
This dynamic site provides search capability on any Armenian historical monument throughout the world according to its name, the present-day and historical name of the settlement it is located in, its type and date as well as the artifacts descriptive language called Art and Architecture Thesaurus (AAT) and the other types of information related to the monument, i.e. inscriptions, relieves, etc. Also it is possible to conduct a graphical searches by drilling down through the conventional maps to find monuments and the related information.
